Increasing Your Book's Audience & Sales

Neither Amazon nor traditional publishers promote your book.  That's where we can help - building your audience and increasing your sales

AUTHOR’S WEBSITE:  The first thing that happens when you connect with someone in your role as author is that they search for you on the Internet to make sure you’re credible and to find out more about your writing.  That’s why you need a website + blog that contains samples of your writing. The website should also have a photo of your book paired with an announcement of your publication date.  Once the book is published, you will link the book photo/announcement to your actual page on Amazon where potential readers can find your book.

AUTHOR’S BUSINESS CARD:  Include your website address.  Also include a photo of your book.

SOCIAL MEDIA.   The best way to promote a book is to create a following on social media, Facebook in particular.  You can create a Facebook Group and invite people to join.  Several times a week you can post to the group with memes, articles etc. and invite people to comment. You can also link the memes and articles back to your website.  This is similar to sending out free samples if you had a physical product.  It also helps you increase your Amazon search rankings.  (Memes and articles can be extracts from your book).  see blog for articles 

EMAIL MARKETING: A third way to promote your book is to create an email List and send people a personal email each week.  The email includes a sample of your latest Blog post.  A button on the email invites people to “Read Full Article.”  When the recipient clicks the button, they are taken to the full article on your website.

SPEAKER SHEET:  This is a 1-page document that tells prospective venues about your book and the topics that you speak on.   see blog for article 

Note:  This is a great way to gain a following in your local community.  Libraries, community centers, clubs and business organizations are always looking for speakers.  When you speak, make sure to have people who attend provide their name and email address so that you can add these to your email marketing program.  You can also distribute flyers that include photos of your book as well as your website address.
